Your House Windows are Stuck Closed

Regardless of foundation movement or just stuck closed. Unsticking a window requires just a little muscle and the right technique. Windows stick for a variety of reasons. It could be because paint got between the sash and the frame or the channels might just need to be cleaned and lubricated.

  1. Obtain some spray lubricant. What is shown below is what I had available.

2. Unlock window locks.

3. Spray liberally down both sides of the wind rails (window contact frame). Allow to soak. You may have to spray multiple times.

 4. My windows eventually released.

NOTE: Patience is required.
